The roots of Kyjovánek come back to 1975, our group has been working since 1998. Our folk group remakes folk habits, dances, old adages and nursery rhymes-mostly from the part of South Moravia- called Dolòácko.
This group can be represented by a several-minute enter, but an hour-programme too. The repertoir is compound from five to fifteen-minute programmes devoted to children activities, folk habits from South Moravia, but there are more difficult folk dances. The dulcimer music made of some children is very important part of this group too.
This group regularly enters competitions for children folk groups run and led by Folk association in Czech republic and it was chosen in 2003 and 2005 to represent Moravian Slovakia in the nation-wide competition in Jihlava.
